Overview
Nika Island Resort & Spa is an Italian-managed retreat on the island of Kudafolhudhoo in North Ari Atoll, roughly a 25-minute seaplane flight from Velana International Airport.
Nika's eleven villa and room categories range from the 35sqm Garden Villa to the 140sqm Sultan Suite, the island's largest and most original villa, with several converted from historic island structures like a coral kiln and a former lighthouse studio. Nika Restaurant serves Italian and Mediterranean cuisine with a weekly Maldivian buffet night from a cellar of over 100 wine labels, alongside the dhoni-roofed Bepi Bar, beachfront Acqua Alta Bar and a café-library Coffee Shop. Lotus Spa floats above a lagoon of water lilies in eight treatment cottages, while the Nika Diving Centre, run by Italian-qualified instructors, explores nearby sites including Kuda Thila and Fish Head.
